About Us...

PJ DeCamp has been raising and showing animals since childhood. She has raised and shown Palomino rabbits in 4-H. She has rode and shown a Arab, Saddlebred cross also in 4-H. She has raised and shown Alpine goats for FFA. As an adult she obtained two Balinese cats and showed them in CFA and FICA. She bred one litter. Lately she has been showing her American Staffordshire Terrier in AKC.
It was time for a new adventure. While searching on rare breeds and seeing the movie “Because of Winn-Dixie”, she found it! A Berger Picard would be the addition to the family to match the rabbits and cats. She went to France in November 2006 and brought back three Picards. Berry to keep and the other two for new owners. Berry is the first Picard imported into Washington State. Berry is shown in UKC, AKC Fun Matches, NAKC, ARBA, Rarites, and IABCA*. PJ is a charter member and the Western United States Representative for the Berger Picard Club of America**. Besides animals PJ enjoys her 3 children, making jewelry, photography, rock hunting, soapstone carving, and everything outdoors. All of this while working full time as a Software Engineer!

Caymon is 9 years old and in the 4th grade. He has started showing dogs in AKC and UKC in 2007. He has been playing ice hockey for 3 years. Caymon also enjoys video games, school (sometimes), camping, rock hunting and music.
On the left Caymon is with Int. CH Berry, a Berger Picard. On the right he is with Evita, a Podengo.

Morganne is a young adult that has completed the Veterinary Assisting program at PIMA. She will start showing dogs soon but has shown cats in 4-H. We could not run Pacific Picardies without Morganne. She takes care of the animals when PJ is off to France and is on call for emergencies. She will be helping out at the Kalamazoo UKC Premier in 2008.
